Reflective film is an important backlight components optical film which used for lcd backlight module.

The function of the reflective film is to reflect the light leakage through the light guide plate back to the panel side. Thereby achieving a reduction in light loss.

The optical principle of the reflective film is mainly based on the law of reflection of light.

According to this law, when light encounters the interface between two media, if the incident angle is greater than a critical angle (called the absolute angle of refraction), the light will be completely reflected; if the incident angle is smaller than the critical angle, the light will be along The interface is reflective, and light rays are refracted because the refractive index is different between the inside and outside of the interface.

The reflective film, the incident light first meets the interface of the reflective material, and according to the law of light reflection, most or all of the light will be reflected back. This is why reflectors can reflect light.
